Fugue in Void PC Review
Hello everybody, Shaun Meyers here to share my thoughts on Fugue in Void by Moshe Linke and Sedoc LLC.
Disclaimer: I received a copy of the game on Keymailer from Sedoc LLC for video/review purposes. Like all of my reviews, this had no effect on my thoughts and experiences with the game.
Fugue in Void is a very strange walking sim that’s more of an audio/visual experience than a full on adventure game. There’s no story elements but don’t let this deter you from trying it because it features some pretty crazy visuals and some amazing audio too. I know this type of experience isn’t for everyone though so if you’re looking for story you’ll have to look elsewhere.
When I played through the game it kept reminding me of Stanley Kubrick and his movie 2001: A Space Odyssey. This game gave off a very Kubrick-esque feeling. It’s audio and visuals coalesced into something absolutely incredible and it was a truly unique experience. It was also one of the best audio/visual experiences I’ve had in a while.
If you happen to try this game out, I highly recommend either using a headset or (If you can) turning your speakers up really loud (Good speakers recommended though). I turned my speakers up really loud and I was blown away with how amazing It sounded. Eargasmic is the right term to use here, it sounds incredible.
I should warn you that the game does have a lot of flashing so if you’re photosensitive or have epileptic seizures then I highly recommend not playing this game cause it might cause some problems for you.
Overall, Fugue in Void is a pretty awesome audio/visual experience and if you’re an audiophile like myself then you’ll enjoy this game a lot. If you aren’t fond of audio/visual experiences then you’ll likely find yourself bored within the first 10 minutes. These tpes of games are definitely more of a niche genre but for those that enjoy them, you’ll love this game a lot. It’s a great representation of what they can offer. Definitely worth checking out.
Thanks for taking the time to read this review for Fugue in Void folks. I’ll be back with my next review for 20XX soon, until then, happy gaming folks!
Shaun Meyers out!
