One Eyed Kutkh PS4 Review

Hello everybody, Shaun Meyers here to share my thoughts on the PS4 version of One Eyed Kutkh by Baba Yaga Games and Something You.

Disclaimer: I received a copy of the game from the developers on Keymailer for review/video purposes. Like all of my reviews, this had no effect on my thoughts and experiences with the game.

One Eyed Kutkh is a very short experimental game that’s based on the folklore and fiction of the Eskimo people’s. It tells the short story of a one eyed monster called a Kutkh who crash lands on the 9th heaven.

You play as two characters in this game, the Kutkh and an Eskimo. As the Kutkh your objective is to collect the missing gears so he can repair his ship. As the Eskimo your objective is to climb to the top of the 9th heavens to find someone that can use a gear he had found in his house.

The game is quite short and can be completed in about 30 minutes total but at the small price of $4.99 I feel it’s well worth the price tag.

One thing to keep in mind is that the game is pretty slow paced since it’s pretty short. So, if you lack the patience to enjoy the journey, you’ll likely lose interest pretty quickly.

Overall, One Eyed Kutkh is a game that likely won’t please everybody but if you’re in the market for something audio-visual in nature then you’ll find this game to be pretty interesting since it has a great art style. Most other people will probably get bored within a few minutes though so it’s a double edge sword. Still, I thought it was pretty interesting but I’ve always had an interest in folklore so that enhanced my enjoyment quite a bit.

Thanks for taking the time to read this short review folks, and I’ll be back with my next review soon, until then, happy gaming folks!
