Beholder: Blissful Sleep DLC Review

Hello everybody, Shaun Meyers here to share my thoughts on the first DLC for Beholder called Blissful Sleep. I received a copy of the game for review purposes but like all of my reviews, this has no affect on my thoughts and experiences.

Blissful Sleep is a prequel to the events in the main game of Beholder. This time you take control of the previous tenant named Hector as he tries to get out of the Blissful Sleep program. The program euthanizes any person that’s 85 and under. Unfortunately for Hector, he is mistaken for being 85 years old even though he is 65. The DLC focuses on his attempts to get out of this fate.

The DLC also has a ton of backstory on the characters you meet in the main game as well. Backstory is the main purpose of this DLC and it fills in a great number of plotholes regarding the tenants. You also get to meet new characters too, of course.

The DLC is also on the shorter side but for $3.99 it’s hard to argue with what you get, (Lots of great story).

Overall, If you’ve been wondering about why the previous tenant got dragged away at the start of Carl’s story then this DLC is an excellent way to find out. If you do well, you can complete it within 5 hours but much like the first game it has an excellent set of characters.

Thanks for taking the time to read this review folks and I’ll be back with my next one soon. Happy gaming folks!

-Shaun Meyers out!
