The Mind’s Eclipse Review

Hello everybody, Shaun Meyers here to share my thoughts on The Mind’s Eclipse by Mind’s Eclipse Interactive.

The Mind’s Eclipse is a new sci-fi visual novel that packs a ton of very interesting lore into it’s story. The game follows the story of a man named Jonathan Campbell who awakens from a coma in an abandoned hospital with no memory as to who he is or how he came to be there.

The game rewards exploration with some incredibly well written messages and various pieces of lore. As an example, the game takes place in the far future aboard a space station on Europa. The people of this timeline rely heavily on nanite technology and there have been 2 nanite wars in the past. This caused everyone to be outfitted with BOSy chips, which are implants that allow their users to interact with various interfaces in the game world.

The game is chock full of interesting information about the world this game is set in and it really enhances the immersion into the story.

The game also features some gorgeous pen/marker based artwork that makes it feel very much like a graphic novel. Each scene Is filled with various details and they look great. I especially liked the designs for COSy who I won’t mention in detail.

One thing that I noticed about this visual novel is how much thought was put into it’s narrative and lore. It’s very much a hard sci-fi story and it’s a welcome addition to a genre that’s often filled with romances and H-games. It’s game that will make you think but it’ll also immerse you in its world completely.

Overall, I loved The Mind’s Eclipse quite a lot. From beginning to end I was thoroughly interested in the character’s, story and lore. It also makes me hope that there is more to come in this game’s universe because it’s a fascinating place filled with nanotechnology, many wars fought over the course of its timeline and it features a lot of places that’d make for interesting stories. If you’re like me and love a good story or want something unique in the visual novel genre, I highly recommend giving The Mind’s Eclipse a shot, it’s an excellent game.

Thanks for taking the time to read the review folks. I’ll be back with my next review soon, until then, happy gaming folks!
